Welcome to Uganda-American Sickle Cell Rescue Fund Website
Sickle cell Awareness Charity Walk took place
on Saturday, July 31st 2010. Started from Mulago nurses hostel at Mulago Hospital to Kampala City Square and back
to Mulago covering a distance of 3 miles. Everybody was in high spirits and thousands of bystanders took
time to read the placards that were on display by the marchers.
We are planning a week of various activities aimed at increasing awareness of Sickle Cell in Uganda from
July 26th through August 1st, 2010. Watch this space for developments.
We are proud parents of a 8 year
old sickle cell survivor. We are grateful to God and are determined to continue increasing sickle cell disease awareness,
through education, and telling our story to inspire so many children and their parents. We all have important values
and ideas, things we care about and want to share. We feel our story can even bring hope to the sickle cell patients.
Sickle cell is so dear to us.
